Maybe You'll Remember

Some time ago I ran across a wooden clothes drying rack that I thought was pretty great, but I can't remember if posted about it, or if I found it through a link a reader included in their comments.  The racks are made by the husband half of a couple who are living off-grid somewhere here in the states, and I wanted to get one of their racks, except now I can't find them.

I realize that I could only be slightly more vague, but if anybody knows what I'm talking about, please chime in....

Sorry, don't know specifically of the one you are talking about. but my experience with wooded racks is medium. They tend to dry out and start coming apart. Bought something called the Butterfly Rack awhile ago (metal and plastic) and while the plastic bits are starting to show a little wear and tear from the heat and sun, its still doing a great job. light weight. holds a fair amount of weight, and some nice adjustability. just my 2 cents

It's not the wooden clothes drying rack that Jen has over at Milkweed and Tteasel, is it? Granted Jen doesn't live in the states and Mike didn't make it... I just remember haven gone through your blog to find where they make those!

I believe you're looking for Homstead Drying Racks. The makers live off-grid in Idaho, I think. Anyway, homesteaddryingracks.com
If that doesn't work, Lehman's has some nice sturdy ones, too.

Paula,
I tried to comment last night, but Blogger would not let me. I think you may be looking for Forgotten Way Farms for the drying rack.

Thanks you guys!! It was homesteaddryingracks.com and I just ordered my Homesteader rack. I'm hoping it shows up about the same time we start using the wood stove.

Convinced me! have also ordered one. As much as I love my butterfly rack, it doesn't hold sheets and afghans.
