What's With Google Blogger?

Is anyone else having issues posting comments?  I find that my Google account info doesn't always follow me and there are very few blogs on which I can comment anymore.

I also find that I'm getting far fewer comment than I used to, but I chalked that up to being boring....

No - not boring. It's getting impossible to leave comments any more on some sites - with the captcha letters getting harder to read. Blogger also doesn't like my wordpress profile and won't let me comment on some blogs unless I do it all manually and through my Google account. Bah!

Sometimes, even when I do that, it won't register my comment and keeps saying I've got the captcha letters wrong. I've just tried on this with my wordpress name and it didn't work. Trying again with my google account. Seems like a way to bully me into using my google account, which I don't like because I don't use blogger, but wordpress and it doesn't link back (and I like link-backs, so I can see who's reading me because they often have a blog I like too...

But I'm reading and loving it as always!

See... that one worked. Google bullying me into using Google id!

Periodically I have issues with blogger as well. As you have experienced, sometimes I log in, then try to comment on another blog and I am asked to sign in again but then lose the comment page. I have not had any problems recently, though, but I know of other bloggers who get frustrated as well.

PS: I don't think you are boring!

Google made some changes so that non-Google bloggers - say those with Wordpress blogs - who had Google friend connect on their blogs an no longer use it, so there's that. There's also a cookie issue that's been going on awhile whereby if "Stay logged in" is checked on your login page, you'll have a heck of a time commenting through your Goolge account on any blogs that require captha verification. (The cure for that isto log out of your Google account and then log back in, being sure to uncheck that "Stay logged in" box, which is checked by default. The downside of this cure is that you'll have to always log into your Google Reader each time you want to check your feed, etc.) and then there's the captha image thing, which...yeah. I've had an active farm blog for four years now and have used captha because I was getting too many spambot messages without, but the new images, coupled with the cookie issue, are a big old' pain.

testing, testing..... I haven't had that problem yet, but I have had a lot of people tell me they can't comment at MFW. Just use it as an excuse to assume that you would probably have dozens of comments if only blogger would work!

I think you should chalk it up to not posting very often!
Just kidding, but I do miss the posts.

I've had the sign in then loos the comment page thing happen in the past, but I don't usually have that happen with the new blogger comments system. I know I last had that issue some time last year. Also having captcha enabled makes it harder for people who want to comment to leave a comment. Since I can't see, I use a browser extension to solve captchas.

Not boring, but like the others, I think the captcha thing is messing up stuff. You can remove that, if you want. I don't know if it would help, but my commenters seem to have an easier time of it...

As everyone else says, you are not boring, I always read you posts but commenting is getting harder so I attempt it less and less these days. The captcha thingy is a real pain, it's beginning to feel as if blogger doesn't want us to bother anymore. And I just hate the new blogger home page as well.
